Digital Blueprint to Reality: How DugOut and Mesh Productions Scaled the Red Bull Island Hopper
The Challenge: Visualizing the Game Plan
When Red Bull athlete Tyler Bereman envisioned a 2,316-foot track jumping between 15 islands in Port Richey, FL, the logistical and branding hurdles were immense. Before a single barge was moved, DugOut Design Studio was tasked with creating a 1:1 scale 3D environment. This wasn’t just a sketch; it was a digital twin of the Florida lake used to prove the project’s viability to Red Bull’s in-house review and marketing teams.
Branding for the Boardroom
One of the most vital steps for Red Bull’s marketing team was seeing how the iconic “Gives You Wings” branding would live on a moving, water-based course.
- The DugOut Solution: Your studio created photo-realistic 3D models of the ramps, allowing stakeholders to review exact color matching and logo placements.
- Marketing Impact: These renderings gave the marketing team a “first look” at the aesthetic, ensuring the visual identity was as powerful as the stunt itself before the 40+ iPhone 17 Pro cameras even arrived on set.
Cinematic Pre-Visualization: The Drone Mimic
To assist the production crew, DugOut created fly-through animations that precisely mimicked the planned FPV drone shots.
- This allowed directors to plan transitions and camera angles months in advance.
- By simulating the drone’s path through your 3D environment, the team could identify “dead zones” in branding or lighting, ensuring every frame of the final 2026 release was optimized for viral impact.
"I literally visualized this in my head for so long, and until I finally saw the 3D renderings three weeks ago, it was just all a thought and a vision in my imagination."
