We helped the fine people at SkateFolk to layout and plan a multi-zone indoor and outdoor 2024 Olympic viewing party event in Washington D.C. We created a 3D mock-up of the site and it’s adjacent surroundings, as well as created 3D models based off existing and rental skate ramps and equipment to help the planning team validate the space and work through potential solutions to scale in real time. In typical fashion, the city came back for several iterations before the design was finalized and the permits approved. The Boardr was brought in to run the event including all-inclusive clinics and contests.
3D Renderings allow for clear and concise communication for internal and external collaboration.
Scale maps of the proposed event layout, used to work through permitting process with the city. As concerns were addressed by the city departments, the design were modified to meet the requirements.
A 3D Mockup of the stage area based off CAD files inside the venue. These renderings were used to clearly communicate design intent to the managers of the venue as well as identify potential on-site branding opportunities.
3D Model built over Geo-located Satellite Imagery
3D Modeling the scene. Once the site and 3D assets were built out, we were able to quickly move items around in the scene as needed throughout the permitting process. The Police and Fire departments wanted to make sure they had emergency plans dialed.
